En una entrevista de 1975, Dale comentaba: "Sentía una enorme cantidad de poder mientras surfeaba y simplemente transmitía mi sentimiento a través de mi guitarra. No podía transmitirlo cantando, por lo que mi música se volvió más instrumental".

Leo Fender comprendió inmediatamente lo que Dick necesitaba era un amplificador con una salida de 100W. Con un altavoz poderoso y James B. Lansing desarrollaron los JBL D130F de 15 pulgadas, con los que Dale por fin pudo sonar como deseaba y romper las barreras musicales de su género y tiempo. Creando así el primer transformador de 85 vatios podía llegar hasta 100 vatios.

Fender le dijo a Tavares uno de su mano derecha de su próspera empresa "ahora entiendo lo que Dale está tratando de decirnos". Dale lo probó y quedó encantado, era como pasar de conducir un pequeño Escarabajo a un Ferrari. Junto al transformador y el altavoz JBL -D130 de 15'', y sería parte del mítico amplificador Fender Showman, el primero que consiguió romper los límites de la época. Ahora Dale ya podía imitar el rugir de las olas.

Dale siguió desarrollando proyectos junto a Fender, primero llegó el Fender Reverb Tank. Requería de más 'vibrato', así que descubrió en un viejo órgano Hammond una unidad de ‘reverb’ y se la enseñó a Fender. Fue así como este salió con el Fender Reverb Tank.

Dick Dale gozó de una increíble fama y retirado para los años setenta y ochenta se dedicó a la hogar y formó un pequeño zoológico en su rancho cuidando leones y animales salvajes.

Fender desarrolló una guitarra edición aniversario pero para hacerla lo más parecida y comercial posible en vista que Dick Dale la tocaba de manera particular como ya se mencionaba en la parte 1 del post se invirtió sólo el clavijero para dar la sensación de ser una guitarra zurda.

Dale fue nombrado miembro en el 2011 del Paseo de la Fama del Surf en Huntington Beach, California, en la categoría de Cultura de Surf. En el 2008 fue diagnosticado con cáncer. Pero gran parte de su vida vegetariano , no bebía ni consumió drogas, amante del kárate, signo que empleaba una ligera tira o cinta en su cabeza. Por eso retomó su olas y continuó tocando su guitarra escarchada sparkle.

En 2017 seguía dando pequeños conciertos y presentaciones en radios televisadas, locales y en diversas invitaciones como la increíble presentación en la radio de Seattle KEXP en el 2014 - 2016.

A los 81 años y el 16 de marzo del 2019 Dick Dale nos abandonaría de ésta mortal dimensión para seguir remontando otras olas. En un mensaje vía Twitter Bryan May guitarrista de Queen escribiría: "descansa en paz y te debemos mucho Dick Dale padre del surf Rock"

In a 1975 interview, Dale commented, "I felt a tremendous amount of power while surfing and I just conveyed my feeling through my guitar. I couldn't convey it by singing, so my music became more instrumental."

Leo Fender immediately understood what Dick needed was an amplifier with a 100W output. With a powerful speaker and James B. Lansing developed the 15-inch JBL D130F, with which Dale was finally able to sound the way he wanted and break the musical barriers of his genre and time. Thus creating the first 85 watt transformer he could go up to 100 watts.
Fender told Tavares one of his right-hand man from his thriving company "now I understand what Dale is trying to tell us." Dale tried it and was delighted, it was like going from driving a little Beetle to a Ferrari. Along with the 15 '' JBL-D130 transformer and loudspeaker, it would be part of the legendary Fender Showman amplifier, the first that managed to break the limits of the time. Dale continued to develop projects with Fender, first came the Fender Reverb Tank. It required more 'vibrato', so he discovered a 'reverb' unit in an old Hammond organ and showed it to Fender. This is how this came out with the Fender Reverb Tank.
Dick Dale enjoyed incredible fame and retired for the seventies and eighties he dedicated himself to the home and formed a small zoo on his ranch caring for lions and wild animals. An exquisite discography with the themes that circulated all over the world.

At 81 years old and on March 16, 2019, Dick Dale would leave us from this deadly dimension to continue riding other waves. In a message via Twitter Bryan May guitarist of Queen would write "rest in peace and we owe you a lot Dick Dale father of surf Rock".
