My experience as a music teacher (homework)

in #steemiteducation7 years ago

Over time I have met people who despite not having a teaching degree, are better teachers than any graduate in the best universities and that is when you realize that the degree does not weigh more than the experience, together with the dedication shown by a person to what he likes, wanting to teach others is carried in the veins, but being a teacher is only achieved by learning to be a student. This story is about the anecdotes that I have had throughout my life and how they taught me to be a teacher.

As a child, my mom always wanted me to study music and that's how it was, despite our low resources, they always gave everything for my education, taking me every day to my classes in the venezuela symphony orchestra. At my young age I was already a mature mind that valued the effort of my loved ones for my future, which made me to learn more every day than I did. From the age of 8 until the age of 15, I was presented with opportunities to meet the best teachers in my country, many gave me new techniques, others to get a more professional sound quality and tuning, but I received the best classes from my teacher Oscar Oropeza, may he rest in peace. He was my first teacher and the one who made me want to love music for every day of my life, not because of his techniques which were of a high level, nor because of his ability to compose great works, what I respected and loved about this great teacher, it was his way of teaching and correcting you.

For a long time I listened to the classes of my teacher Oscar Oropeza, he had a somewhat strong temperament but at the same time, he gave you the same fatherly love that made you want to go back to the core of the orchestra every day and learn new qualities of the fundamental values in music. On March 11, 2012 my teacher died due to a gas leak in a hotel, while resting from an arduous night in which he played his oboe for the last time, giving a show at a wedding with his musical ensemble "Strauss", this It took me to reflect on life and death, deciding to want to teach other people about what I know, because neither the material nor the knowledge we will take them to the grave, the best and most kind is to share it with people who love as much as we learn.

Thanks to a teacher I learned to be a teacher, worth the benefit. So I have made my experience as a teacher the best, now I give violin lessons for people with low resources, since my parents supported me in the same way when we did not have enough money to enter and even so, I entered and became professional violinist.

Thank you for the attention, I hope you liked my history as a teacher and the progress I made thanks to listening to people with more experience, this is important if we want to become great in our profession, "leave your comment on what you think".

This is my short work for Task 201 of @student of education, I hope it has been of benefit to you, Blessings!
