Goulash @senseicat
This cooler winter weather is making me crave comfort foods. When I was young, my mom rented out our room to a single woman, and the best part of sharing space with someone new is when they share their culinary skills. We were so fortunate that she enjoyed cooking and let us sample her mouth watering treats. This is my variation of her goulash specialty.
Ingredients:
1/2 pound small pasta of your choice
1 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 pound of small diced ribeye (organic ground steak or lean hamburger optional)
1 medium onion chopped
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 Tablespoon ground cumin
1 Tablespoon paprika
salt and pepper to taste
1 can of crushed tomatoes (14 ounces)
1/2 cup sour cream (full flavored)
16 ounces of fresh mushrooms halfed
Directions:
Cook pasta al dente.
Brown meat in olive oil.
Add onion, garlic, and rest of seasonings and cook for a few minutes.
Mix in tomatoes and stir in sour cream.
Drain and rinse pasta and add to the pot.
Enjoy @senseicat
heard alot about this dish and i feel it is a must try.
Yep, there's nothing like a good old goulash (gulaš) in the winter. Did you ever tried adding just a hint of cinnamon? It really brings everything together in a whole different, but amazing, way.
Thank you for your suggestion. I will try it next time.
This is awesome food .i must prepare it .really ,very tasty to my ear.thanks for the recipe .if i finish preparing it tomorrow i will give you feedback how everything goes.
