A couple of years ago, my son mentioned that a kid in school is wearing a brand of sneakers that cost over 200.00 USD to school. A few kids showed up to school and were embarrassed because they were called out for wearing knock offs. Folks, we are talking about elementary school fashion.

I felt extremely lucky that my son did not ask me to purchase him these sneakers and likely, he knew that the answer would be a resounding no. Aside from the fact that he is growing and sometimes needs new sneakers every few months back then, it is important to remind our kids and ourselves that things are just that...things.

A few football parents have mentioned that these cleats are on their child's wish list for Christmas and they cost 140.00 USD.

In my mind, a good sensible cleat is just as good and the savings allow to purchase them often enough for the growing feet throughout the year. :)
