As I promised you in my previous article, today I am going to discuss with you the balance part of the summary of the workshop. According to Ayurveda, which I have said, the whole universe and the human body are made up of five elements, that is Apo – Water. Thejo- fire, Wayo – air, Patavi – earth, and Akasha – Space. Every human being is composed of the three doshas Vatha, Pitha, and Sema (Kapha). An imbalance of the Tri Dosha may lead to diseases. As they say, prevention is always better than cure. So, in a manner, practicing yoga mudras can help us avoid all of those diseases. The speaker asserted that the Buddha used all of these mudras throughout his life. Now let us see what those mudras are.

Anjali mudra

The Anjali mudra is the action of placing one's hands together at the chest in a "prayer position." This is called salutation mudra also. When we say "Ayubowan" to someone in this way, the energy of space enters our body. This mudra helps us relax our brains, lower our stress levels, focus more clearly, and develop our inner awareness. It also makes our arms and joints more flexible.

Dhyana Mudra

Dhyana mudra is a hand motion that represents the mind entering a deep state of meditation and taking time to think and ponder. We maintain this mudra by placing our right hand on our left hand and forming a triangle with our thumb and index finger. We can balance the left and right sides of the body using this mudra. Additionally, it helps us focus our minds.

Abhaya (Fearless)mudra

This is called as Abhaya Mudra. The regular practice of this mudra brings fearlessness and relaxation to the brain. With the help of this mudra, we can connect with our heart's truth and have the courage to follow it.

Bhumi Sparsha Mudra

This mudra means "earth-touching gesture" in translation. You can witness the earth reduce barriers from your way by touching it in this mudra.

Dharmmachakra Mudra

The Dharmachakra mudra elevates the mental condition to a higher degree and claims the mind. The mudra also aids in maintaining a pleasant mindset and increases focus. You can perform this mudra while holding your hands like in the image.

Varada Mudra

This signifies compassion, charity, and sincerity. It is symbolic of giving and forgiveness. As well this mudra brings positive changes in our attitudes such as generosity, patience, and morality, and increases concentration power.

Vajra Mudra

Vajra Mudra also referred to as the "seal," is a sacred hand gesture that promotes blood flow. It can be used to treat cardiovascular problems, low blood pressure, and poor circulation. Because it supports the vajra pulse, the body's strongest pulse, the vajra mudra can help with fatigue.

Vitharka Mudra

The vitarka mudra is used to convey the Buddha's teachings. Enlightenment, as well as the growth of wisdom, knowledge, spirituality, and energy, follow as a result.

Karana Mudra

The Karana mudra reduces negativity, anxiety, fear, and depression while boosting feelings of happiness and contentment. The body's representations of Fire and water/air, the thumb and middle finger, respectively, are activated.

Vitara Bhodhi Mudra

The Buddha's teachings are communicated through the vitara bodhi mudra. Numerous statues of Buddha display this hand gesture, which shows the transmission of the Buddha's teachings by placing the right palm near the heart and looking forward.

This workshop taught us that practicing any of these mudras at least once a week has beneficial results. It helps people of all ages enhance their physical and emotional health. In order to avoid some of the ailments brought on by an imbalance in the tri dosha system, I implore you to include even one mudra in your everyday life.
