Dining is a basic requirement of all living beings and it helps to proper function of our body organs. Consuming clean, fresh food that is nutrient-dense, as well as clean, properly stored food, is essential for people of all ages.

When we go to the market to buy food, it is preferable, but not always practical, to buy from a trusted source. A well-balanced diet with high nutritional quality is required to live a healthy life.

Each of us has a rhythm for doing things, and dining follows the same pattern. Eating too quickly or too slowly is not a good rhythm. Eating slowly is not always possible due to the hectic pace we have during the day, and most jobs only allow 40 to 60 minutes for lunch. However, the average time for each meal should be about 20 minutes. The dangers of fast food are abundant. Fasting can cause problems such as indigestion, gas, dissatisfaction, and the development of metabolic syndrome. As with everything in life, a balanced middle ground is preferable, so eating slowly is the best option, with the main benefit being nutrient absorption.

Most people eat out of habit rather than hunger. That is incorrect; be prepared to eat more out of hunger than habit.

Although eating appears to be a simple and easy act, if not done properly, it can lead to a variety of diseases. According to Ayurveda, the best time to eat breakfast is within 30 minutes of waking up. Lunch should be served by 12.45 p.m., but there should be at least four hours between lunch and breakfast. Dinner should be eaten by 7:00 p.m., and it is essential to eat dinner at least 3 hours before going to bed. It is also not recommended to eat dinner after 10 p.m. because eating dinner too close to bedtime will interfere with sound sleep.

There is a time for each meal, just as there is a time for eating. Fruits can be eaten on an empty stomach or between breakfast and lunch. It is best to consume fruit at least 30 minutes before or after your main meal. If you wish to eat salad, it is better to take 15 minutes before the main meal. Sugary food is better to eat for breakfast because energy from sugar can be burned quickly. Consuming milk and yogurt at night is not suitable for people with high blood sugar.

Although it is not necessary to add sugar to yogurt during the day, adding sugar or pepper powder to yogurt at night will aid digestion. Drinking water on an empty stomach before sunrise will help our digestive system function properly. And it also improves our health.
