Poisons are highly risky substances; if someone takes them as food or drink or even touch, or breathe, they will become ill or even die. Most of the chemicals are poisons that are harmful to living things, including humans.

There are different types of poisons; some are produced by animals and plants in nature. Some are man-made poisons such as cleaning products, pesticides, clothing powder, etc.

Poison can enter our body through the nose, skin, or mouth. it is advisable to keep them away from children and pets.
Vomiting, difficulty to breath, and skin color change are the common symptoms of poisoning. If you suspect that someone is taking poison, immediately seek professional advice by calling an emergency service.

By keeping chemicals and medicine out of reach the children can prevent such poisoning. When using household cleaning products, better to read an instruction as well as store food and chemicals in a separate place will help to avoid accidents.

If you are unsure about any plant or item, it is better not to use it. Some people attempt to seek treatment at home without the advice of professionals, that is incorrect. Prompt medical treatment will help to cure completely.

Prevention is better than cure, therefore simple steps such as reading labels and instructions, storing items correctly, being aware of potential risks, and so on will help to keep you and your loved one safe.

Remember, if you suspect someone is poisoning and the medical station is a long distance away from your home, perform some home treatment to protect your patient before arriving at the medical station.
