Our donating mission and Boat riding in Madu River

Whenever we go on a picnic, we usually give a school stationery parcel to a needy student. We do this once a year. This time, we'll be traveling south for the holidays of the 25th, 26th, and 27th. We hope to deliver those stationary packages to a needy student on our way to Galle.

We decided to arrange only 10 parcels this time due to the high prices of all the items. Each parcel includes one square rule book, four rule books, two pencils, two pens, color pen packets, a foot ruler, two erasers, a cutter, and a red pen. With discounts, we had to pay around Rs. 8000/-. While my younger son spent Rs. 5000/- balance Rs. 3000/- spent by me.

Because school supplies are so expensive these days, it is difficult for any parent to spend a lot of money on them. We believe that our parcel will benefit underprivileged students. Last year, we could purchase a large number of items for Rs. 5000/-, but this time, our options were limited due to the high prices.

We believe it is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students in need. Our mission may seem simple, but we believe it is powerful because it provides relief to a deserving student. My children have completed their educational journeys; therefore, our goal is to support the education of those students.

On the 25th, we hope to leave in our vehicle loaded not only with picnic essentials but also with carefully prepared parcels. We believe that these parcels are a great source for students, containing excise books, pens, erasers, pencils, cutters, colored pens, and red pens. Therefore, we hope to ensure that our parcels reach those who truly need them, making a direct and meaningful impact on their education.

We've seen children's faces light up with joy as we distribute parcels. We'll never forget how they unwrapped their package and how happy they looked.

We are looking forward to seeing the students' joy tomorrow, which is more than what we get from boat riding in the Madhu River.
