Hello my dear friends, In my previous blog, I talked about my experience at Soora Saradial Village. Our next destination was Lankathilaka Viharaya at Pilimathalava.

We got on the bus after exploring Saradial Village. After getting on the bus we shared the short eats which were brought by each other. We then shared and enjoyed the tea that each of us had brought. Everyone experienced the moment as a member of a huge, happy family.

On the bus, some really lovely tunes were playing. Clapping to the beat we traveled very happily. Afterward, we arrived at the Lankathilaka Viharaya. It was a very old temple that was located in Kandy's Udunuwara. King Buvenakabahu IV constructed this temple in the 14th century using ornaments and elements from Kandyan culture. It can be seen in the motifs on the roof from that time, particularly the twine crane motif. This temple was built on top of a massive rock. This temple is still active and populated by worshippers. When we came to this temple, we were delighted. The area around the temple, which was located above the paddy fields, was really lovely. We could also view two ancient stone inscriptions at this temple.

After worshiping Lankathilaka Temple, we turned to Gadaladeniya temple which is very closer to this temple. Gadaladeniya is also a 14th-century ancient Buddhist temple. In the vihara, there were beautiful drawings on the walls. The ceiling of the temple's entryway is supported by massive stone slabs and large stone pillars. Even though it was only a small temple, this one had historical significance.

We stayed here for around 30 minutes before moving on to Ambakke Devalaya, our next destination. When I write my next blog, I'll discuss Embakke Devalaya's experience.

I will remain till my next blog is seen.

Have a good day.
