My diary on January 22nd, 2023 | Suprise dinner to my husband

Hello buddies, I woke up that day at a much later hour than usual, at 9.30 a.m. My typical wake-up time is between 6 and 7 am, but on this particular day, I was late because we had a long journey to the popular tourist location of Ella, Sri Lanka.

As soon as I got up from the bed, I drank my glass of water on my empty stomach. Today, there was no time to do my routine exercise of walking. I hurried to the kitchen to make our breakfast and bedtime tea. However, my hubby had already gotten up early and prepared our bedtime tea. We slipped the tea while discussing. Today is my husband’s birthday, but I didn’t pretend him that I remember it. I want to surprise him with a special dinner.

After serving him breakfast, I went to the washroom to wash our clothes. There were a lot of clothes to wash because we were going on a three-day trip to Ella. I spent almost two hours washing the dirty linen. Later I finished my all-routine works including, cleaning the house, watering the plants, and cleaning bird’s feeding boards. That day my son’s house did some structuring work, so they were unable to use their kitchen. So, I invited them for lunch at our house. We all ate lunch together at about 1:30 pm. While we were having our lunch my younger son called me and asked about our plans for father’s birthday. I said that I would make noodles and surprise him with dinner. He continued by saying that he would order dinner from outside rather than making noodles. I requested him only to order side dishes such as chicken devilled not a whole dinner. He obeyed me and ordered deviled pork and hot batter prawns. When my daughter-in-law found out it was his birthday, she wished him a happy birthday and told him that "Amma is going to surprise you with a dinner".

After lunch, I checked Steemit because I hadn't seen it in the previous three days, and there were 18 comments there. Unfortunately, as usual, the power went out while I was responding to the comment. So I turned off the computer and went out to see my gardens. I treated several times to them and headed to the kitchen to prepare evening tea. After enjoying halapa with our evening tea, I started to work on chopping vegetables for noodles and preparing them.

In the night my son and daughter-in-law came to our house with a small gift to their father. By this time online orders of side dishes had also reached my place. So, without wasting time we arrange a dinner table and offered my husband dinner with surprise online side dishes. He was so happy to learn that the online foods are ordered by his younger son. I tried to get a video call to my younger son to join him at the party but he had gone shopping at this moment. So, we enjoyed the dinner wishing him a happy birthday. After spending a little time after dinner we departed saying goodbye to each other. That is how I spent my day giving a surprise dinner to my hubby.
