My diary game, on 1st January 2023
The new year dawned on December 31 at about midnight. We went to the bed after performing our ritual of boiling milk on the temporary hearth. Even though we went to bed at about 1:30 p.m. I had to get up early since I needed to make milk rice for the new year table.
On January 1st, I got up early and had my usual bed tea, then start to make milk rice. I invited my son and his wife to join us for breakfast at the new year table. After finishing milk rice and lunu miris I took a shower. Later I lit the Buddha lamp and did a buddha puja and worship budda before we used our meals.
While I was preparing the new year table, my son and daughter came. After that, we all sat down at the table to eat breakfast. Aggala, Kokis, Kavum, mun Kavum, masket, mun guli, banana, and milk rice were all on the table. Before starting our breakfast, we snapped a group picture and sent it to our chuty putha over WhatsApp along with a happy new year message.
After our breakfast, I sat down in a corner of the visiting area and used WhatsApp and the messenger app to send new year greetings to all of my friends and family.
Our son and his wife also left the place, after having several talks with us, as one of their friends had invited them for lunch.
Since I had nothing to do, I sat down at the laptop to access the Steemit website. I was unable to write an article, so before shutting off the computer, I simply commented on other blogs and offered my support.
I have prepared a somewhat special meal for us as it is the new year. There were only two of us for the lunch, I remember my younger son. He was still sleeping in the UK, where it was still nighttime for them.
In the evening we went to the temple to receive a religious blessing from our temple priest. The temple was fully decorated. There were a lot of devotees in the temple that day because it was the first day of the year 2023. We participated in a Bodhi Puja and worship buddha. Before going back to our house, the temple priest blessed us.
That night we went to bed after having our dinner, thinking over the first day of the year we spent. In this way, we conclude the first day of the year.

You really had a nice day during New year. I can see everyone that went to Temple for religious blessings are all putting on white which signified a brighter beginning.
