How to visit newborn baby
I have noticed that the majority of the Sri Lankan Community members are young daughters and sons. Some of them are newlyweds, while others have been married for a while. Some may already have children, while others may be pregnant.
Therefore, you may have the opportunity to visit the newly born baby in the future; if so, keep the important factors that I shared with you in your mind.
A new baby's birth is a magical experience. If the baby is born to one of our close relatives, we feel a sense of pride. If an office friend, neighbor, or relative has a baby, we make it a point to pay him or her a visit. It is worth considering how to visit the baby without hurting the mother and the baby’s feelings.
The most important factor is the time to visit the baby. As soon as the baby is born both mother and baby need to be careful. The mother is hesitant to pay attention to the visitors because she has had some difficulties. Therefore, it is better to congratulate through a telephone call and visit later when possible. If the baby is born to a relative, such as your sister or aunty, it is best to visit them as soon as possible because the mother is expecting their visit. However, if they are not close relatives, it is advisable to visit them at least after six weeks.
The next important thing is how to visit them. A newborn baby needs to be protected from poisonous seeds, so when we go to visit such a baby, we should be as clean as possible. We must also visit them at a convenient time for them. Because such a mother has so many responsibilities, it may be difficult to treat visitors. So, it is best to go there after cleaning thoroughly and at a convenient time for them.
When people go to see babies, they usually bring soap and a powder pack. However, in today's society, the powder is not used on babies. People nowadays use branded soap, so it is best not to bring them. You could instead bring them nappies, pampers, or even a voucher in a lovely decorative envelope.
It should also be careful to speak when visiting the baby. That is, if the baby is slim, overweight, or dark, it is not a good idea to mention that type of short comers. Some people say, oh! Even though the mother is fair, the baby is dark and has not grown well; avoid such negative reviews and instead mention positive ones. The best thing you can do is have a happy conversation with them and make them happy.
