Architectural rules for better sleep

Getting enough sleep is critical if you want to live a healthy life. A good night's sleep will allow you to be more productive during the day. The majority of hardworking people, however, do not get enough sleep at night. A lack of quality sleep is the primary cause of this. There are numerous useful facts for getting a good night's sleep according to astrology and architecture. My main goal for today is to share some of these important facts with you.

The direction in which your bedroom is located in the house has a significant impact on your sleep. The main bedroom of the house should be located in the south-west direction. If that is not possible, the south and west sides are also favorable. The east, northwest, and southeast are the next blessed directions. It is said that setting up bedrooms in those directions is auspicious, but setting up bedrooms in the North and North-East directions is not.

The next factor to consider is the direction you lay your head when you sleep. Note that it is an architectural rule that you should never sleep with your head towards the North as it is very inauspicious. Modern scientists also accept that directing one’s head toward the Earth’s North Pole is harmful to one’s physical and mental health. According to the sloka, ‘Dakshine Suba Sampadah’ sleeping with the head facing east or south brings prosperity. It is the rule of Ishivara that if you sleep with your head facing North or West, your family and children will be sick. It is said that sleeping with one's head towards the east increases wisdom, especially in children. Sleeping with the head to the north causes heart disease and nerve disorders in the brain.

It is said to sleep placing the feet to the north or west, as well not to place feet towards Buddha statues or shrine room.

Also, note that it is not auspicious to sleep by placing feet towards your parents and teachers.

I believe that paying attention to these important architectural rules will help you to get better sleep at night and live a healthier life.
