When I think of making portraits of my friends I sometimes consider making a portrait without their faces. Have you ever done it? It is fun, makes us think about things we can show that depict this person. This creation method I used while depicting my romantic hearted friend here as she was descending her parents staircase, going away to her apartment where she is living alone with her birds. There is a bound between her and the building, and something about belonging that I decided to capture in time.
Great composition and lighting. I think you can tell a lot about a person by their surroundings - sometimes it really can be even more expressive than a face.

Thank you @winstonalden! I would like to do a series of this type of friends portraits.
