exchanging steem for other cryptocurrencies

Hello my fellow steemit patrons, how are you all doing tonight ? Recently I was asked how to cash out to an outside wallet. It was a question to which I gave an incorrect answer. See, I thought that you right clicked on the steem amount and then clicked transfer. That is incorrect and if you do click that it will just give you the option to transfer the steem dollars to another steemit account. So, without further ado, here is the correct way to do it.
You have to go into the wallet on your blog and select that which you wish to cash out. Then, you have to select said amount and then choose sell. This will take you to blockchain and give you the option of exchanging your steem dollars for another form of cryptocurrency. You then copy the address of your bitcoin or other currency wallet and voila. As I have not yet sent any money to an outside wallet I’m not sure if there is another way or if there is any waiting period.
