#8 KRKA NATIONAL PARK

First of all: this is no insider’s tip! This is a spot everybody knows about, but still, it’s one of our „must have seen“ spots! It starts with the exciting way sailing upstream the river Krka, through high cliffs until we reach the small town of Skradin. Here we have to leave Liv, and we enter a touristboat which takes us into the Krka National Park. As we told you, we normally try to avoid mass tourism, but sometimes there’s no otherway. The lowest and biggest cascade leads to a big bassin, and we define, that swimming is probably allowed. We take off our shirts and jump into the water. It’s wonderfull!
Only as we try to reach the cascades we get whistled back. But as the flow is really strong we wouldn’t have reached the cascades anyway. Back on the path it’s going straight up the hill, next to dozens of cascades. As we reach the top of the hill we enter a new, outstandingworld. Under the trees of a forest, the river splits into hundreds of tiny arms, with bassins and cascades, wild areas and calm pools. You can explore this area on narrow paths, connected by wooden bridges. The Europeen Everglades, luckily without any crocodiles.
