** 28/03/1919 **

- The Reich Government refuses further negotiations with the insurgent workers in the Ruhr area and calls ultimately an end to the uprising. The Army requires additional weapons charge, prisoners delivery and resolution of the executive council by March 31.

• In the elections for the Bulgarian Parliament (Sobranie) especially the Farmers' Union wins add votes and reaches 110 seats (+24). The Communists improve, while the Socialists lose by four to 50 mandates votes. After these losses, the Socialists left the government of Prime Minister and peasant leader Alexandar Stamboliski.
  
  
• In Berlin Grosses Schauspielhaus the drama "The White Savior" premiered by Gerhart Hauptmann. Directed by Karlheinz Martin Alexander Moissi and Emil Jannings playing in the lead roles. With this performance, a captain-piece is gaining recognition in the theater criticism the first time since a long time.
