- In Vienna, the four-day congress begins the Austrian Christian Social Party. In the center of the discussions, the relationship with the Social Democratic coalition partners and the federalism in Austria stands. While many delegates expressed concern against the existing coalition, is leading party representatives speak (among others Vice Chancellor Jodok Fink) in favor of continuing cooperation with the SPÖ. President of the party leadership Leopold Kunschak is selected.
