Qurator has seen some extreme growth lately! Close to 80K SP and over 640 members. After seeing @utopian-io offer such great support to their moderators I was feeling silly for not thinking of it earlier. Below are some details of how we will better support our moderators as well as some Qurator updates.

The Qurator Team works day and night approving accounts and helping all the Qurites in the project. We try our best to approve only original content bloggers. That is why every new member has to be reviewed and approved by a few mods before they can register. This sometimes take time as not all moderators are online the whole time and we need a unanimous vote to approve someone. Sometimes people do not get approved and we try our best to steer them in the right direction to improve their blog. Giving them tips and hints on correct steemit etiquette as well as editing and correct image sourcing.

We use most of our profits to get leases from the market, thanks again @minnowbooster. So even though we do pay our team a few SBD each week we still feel that they put a lot of time and effort into the project and deserve some extra rewards for all their efforts. Thus, @qtip was created and @qurator delegated 500SP to it to give our mods some extra upvote support. Our team will see some more upvotes from @qtip now. For those who would like to support the team even more, feel free to delegate some SP to @qtip. =)

Latest changes to @qurator:

We are moving away from paying Steem to @qurator for higher Tiers (bigger upvotes). Starting next week we will no longer accept steem for higher Tiers (3-5). All members who are curently in a paid Tier will still get that Tier's upotes until their days expire. We are doing this because the lease market has become more competitive and even though the steem was used to get more leased SP we think that direct delegations to @qurator will give us more long-term growth and stability.

Member growth vs Steem Power.

Currently, we are approving on average around 10 members a day and our SP is not seeing that kind of growth, thus we are deciding to go with the delegations. Remember, your delegation helps all the members involved, all 640+ of them. We are still looking for more investors but the larger whales rarely delegate to smaller projects. We are not sour about it, it just means we have to stand together as a team and community to grow the account together instead. This is a group effort and every delegation is really appreciated, every drop counts and it all adds up after a while.

We will hate to stop letting new members in but it is a possibility in the future if we can't keep the account growing at the rate the new members are joining.

Post-Promotion changes

After seeing the usual drop and plop we decided to add some more rules to our Discord channel. We want to see more interaction instead of users just dropping their link and then leaving the Discord server. We want you all to take part! Comment and upvote on your fellow Qurite's posts! They will return the favor!

Please have a look at the new rules:

1. Before you post your own link comment and upvote the last post in the room.
2. Paste your link mentioning the person (using @username) you just upvoted.
3. After someone mentions you, check if your post did receive an upvote and a comment and give a thumbs up on the tag. If someone tagged you but did not comment/upvote your post, alert a moderator and we will deal with it.
4. Only ONE LINK PER DAY is allowed.

If you notice that someone left the link without respecting the rules, please report it to one the Moderators.

Not respecting the rules will have its consequences.
Failure to comment/upvote will result in a warning.
Three warnings and you will be banned from using #postpromotion. FOREVER
