Ahh this brings back memories, I used to inline skate and after I met my partner he taught me how to skateboard, though I preferred my skates. It was one of the first things I had to give up when I started being forced to make decisions on what I was going to spend time on :<
I love the rings behind this, the entire style suggests you could slap some bright colours on it and it would make an awesome poster :D
You had to give it up? D: That is too bad, but on the other hand, if you did give up the skating then the other thing is much better lol. I wonder if your kids are into them at all... since you used to do it, you can teach them some nifty stuff :D.
Hmmm colour it eh? But I don't do straight to colour, so maybe I will do it after I give this one a nice clean ink.
Well, originally I just stopped because I had small children. Then kind of started up again teaching them how to skate but then stopped again. I can't fit everything in! XD
I like the green used today, it overall has a kind of cool neo-80s feel.
I LOVE skiing and once tried snow boarding...ONCE, never again. I said, no thanks and happily went back to good ole' ski's I don't like both my feet attached to one board.
Well traditional skiing is pretty fun. Of course I like to do it on the easier slopes, but @winstonalden LOVES the black diamond (the highest hardest peaks) which I stay off, far too exhilarating for me. I like to have a slow leisurely slide down the mountain, taking in the lovely scenery as I go along.
Ehm... if I ever ski, I would do it on the easiest slope. I've been wanting to do it for some years now, but I hate going out when it's cold, which is obviously inevitable if I want to ski.

Your pic instantly made me think of roller derby and "whip it", which is a great movie if you haven't seen it. Now I want to watch it and see you draw some roller derby girls!
Such a cool piccar, @scrawly ! I love her pose and the feel of movement you've captured in this!!! The hair being swoosshhhedd to the right by the wind and her leaping are so great ! Love the knee guards so much also :D The smiley faces are really making the picture seems super fun and happies ^ ___ ^
I am a bit like you about sports, mostly preferring to spectate than doing, but I have always thought snowboarding seems super cool and really would like to try once.... but then the snow resorts are so far away and so expensive etc so I have not tried it hahahaha aaaaaaawwwwwww well
Really nice composition also with the concentric circle at the back :D It gives a good framing and it works well with the skateboard theme cuz they are often doing tricks and stuff at a half-pipe kind of arenas :D

These kind of sports are not for me. I'm so clumsy that I would break my neck after a few seconds, lol!
Well, we don't need to try everything.. AND you can paint it so it's almost like you would try it! :)
Hehehe, you totally understand how I feel about sports, Ms Delish :D.
Yes, I can certainly experience the sports by just drawing them... not XD. But thank you <3.

Whoa I see. I've never skied either so I don't know how it feels, but I bet the feeling of some board attached to our feet must feel quite unpleasant.
Thanks Donna :).

I haven't seen this movie, it must be pretty old because you don't watch movies since 2012.
It's good if any of my pictures can motivate you to rekindle your fondness for movies once again >:D.

Great and cool piccar <3 I love it !
I still need to practice a lot of dynamic movement, so I'm glad the pose and design work in this one :D.
Yep yep, sports are hard work also for me, I know I should try harder though because they're important for our body to be healthy and strong.
Thank you spideroo. Enjoy your weekend :D.
