My Aussie $1 Coin Collection

$1 Coin Collection

Approximately 3 years ago, I lost my beloved coin collection. For a number of years, I had been collecting Australian $1, 50c and 20c that have been released by the mint here in Australia as special or commemorative pieces. But that all changed yesterday when I came across them buried in some storage boxes in the house..... I was sooo excited and am a little bit of a nerd!

So without further ado, here are the coins in no particular order:

This is one of the first minted $1 coins from 1984 when they were first released.

nice collection

I reckon I've spent more than my fair share of $1 coins on Chiko Rolls and Farmers Union Iced Coffee.

Nice collection man. I started collecting some of those $1 coins too but they're all circulated. If I was starting now I'd get them pristine and put them in capsules.

One day they will be a relic and a reminder of what this place was like when we used government issued fiat currency. They belong in a museum! :p

I have some one and two dollar notes floating around someplace. I should really find them and put them someplace safe!

Circulated or not still very nice to have!
I can understand your excitement, finding those stashed away would make anyone jump for joy!!!

We had a $5 coin at one point. Haven't seen one of those in a while. (1988)

Great money

Wow, that's a really nice collection!

Are you a stacker now?

Maybe in the near future we will have a bitcoin !!!
