Due to the rain in the last few days, there was a lot of puddles and made the ground wet. Likewise with piles of garbage that are also wet, causing the arrival of the latrine fly Chrysomya megacephala. This fly is greenish in color with dark red eyes. It is almost 8mm in length with a size three times larger than the housefly Musca domestica. These flies are also often associated with carriers of diarrheal diseases due to their habit of playing in latrines.
The fly infests corpses soon after death, making it important to forensic science. This fly is implicated in some public health issues; it can cause accidental myiasis,[1] and also infects fish and livestock. Wikipedia
However, if you look closely at this fly, it is quite beautiful despite its playing habits which are often in dirty places. With a metallic green body color and red eyes that are quite pleasing to the eye.
