Service in Amsterdam

Is it only me or is the service in Amsterdams Restaurants or Bars much woth than in other cities? Sure I am speaking not for all places but the experiences I personally made were mostly negative. Way to expensive restaurants that offer bad food, no trained employees and no customer focus at all. Sometimes it feels like they only do so because they can. I don't think I would be proud owning a place like this. Thanks to all hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs who still offer real customer service.
