Sometimes It Is About The Camera, Not the Photographer

I strongly believe in the adage, "It's not about the camera, it's about the photographer." And I continue to love using my iPhone for photography. Almost every photo I've posted on here has come from an iPhone, but...

I felt it was time to dive in and buy a camera. I ended up getting a Sony 6000 Mirrorless. I got a great deal that came with a couple of lenses so my journey deeper into photography continues. So to commemorate, this is the first photo I'm posting from using this camera, taken last night just before sunset.

Cheers to everyone in this wonderful Steemit photography community who inspires me everyday!

Nice photo, and nice camera! I'm so jealous (but in a good way). You'll see the real difference, in the image quality, when you start cropping your photos.

Very encouraging words for me Matt as I am still yet to get my first real camera. But do you mean even all those stunning shots of landscapes from California were taken with your phone??

Yup, all of those were from my iPhone 7 Plus along with a long exposure app. There's a lot you can do with a smartphone!
