The interior of the church was painted in white, with wooden chairs lined in long rows in it filled with a lot of congregation at that moment. "Church!, Happy New year" the Reverend shouted excitingly with a long wired microphone in his hand pointing towards his mouth. The people were very happy because it's a new year - 1980, with the statement "Happy new year" filling the air from different people. At that time, Miranda looked at Anna and she got to know that Anna wasn't happy, she asked her what the problem was, "He's not in church, I tried calling him on his phone, but it was switched off" Anna replied to Miranda. "You mean Andy?" Miranda said while looking around if she could see Andrew. She then tried to make Anna happy telling her not to worry cos it's a new year, "Don't be worried so you won't worry through all the year" Miranda said while laughing succeeding in making Anna to laugh as well.
They both walk through the street to their way home, "But come to think of it Miranda, this is a new year already, you have to get yourself a husband so it won't be too late" Anna said in a joking manner. Miranda looked at the sky, then looked at her friend "I haven't gotten the right man yet, Men are deceitful, but I will make sure I get my man this year" Miranda smiled. Anna then told her she's two weeks pregnant " I got to know about that when I visited our family's doctor when I felt dizzy yesterday" she said in a gentle tone. "Are you serious!!!, That calls for a celebration" Miranda exclaimed urging her to spend the night with her. "c'mon, you know that isn't possible, I'm married. Let's fix it to daybreak, all day at your place"Anna said holding Miranda's hand. "Ooh , that's true, don't mind me, let's fix it around 10am then" she agreed. Miranda saw Anna off to the front of her house, then she waved to her, "Goodbye Annie, see ya" Miranda said, "Good bye , we'll be coming by 11, catch ya" Anna smiled as she replied. Anna walked into his apartment, while Miranda left for her place.
Anna saw her husband lying in the same position she left him while going to church earlier, she stared at him, and try to wake him up but on a second thought, she didn't. Then she undressed and went to take a shower in the Bathroom, She slept beside her husband as soon she finished taking her shower.
