Plane Spotting: Eurofighter with special livery / Eurofighter mit Speziallackierung

Yesterday a very special plane was a guest in Neuburg. Out of nowhere, this beautifully painted Eurofighter showed up, made two landing approaches and left without landing. In this article I document the second approach and am particularly happy to have caught the plane well.

Gestern war ein ganz besonderes Flugzeug zu Gast in Neuburg. Wie aus dem Nichts ist dieser schön bemalte Eurofighter aufgetaucht, hat zwei Landeanflüge gemacht und ist ohne zu landen wieder abgezogen. In diesem Artikel dokumentiere ich den zweiten Anflug und freue mich ganz besonders den Flieger gut erwischt zu haben.

Two lights in the sky announce the approach of a fighter, the traffic lights turn red and we are curious what to expect.

Zwei Lichter am Himmel künden vom Anflug eines Fighters, die Ampeln schalten auf rot und wir warten gespannt was da wohl auf uns zu kommt.

Then there are 4 more jets on top, in clean formation, ready to fly over.

Da tauchen dann hoch darüber nochmal 4 weitere Jets auf, in sauberer Formation, bereit zum Überflug.

Then the last course correction to turn on the centerline of the runway.

Dann die letzte Kurskorrektur um auf die Centerline der Landebahn einzuschwenken.

We could hardly believe our eyes when bright blue was visible on the fuselage.

Wir trauten unseren Augen kaum als helles blau auf dem Rumpf zu sehen war.

And then this sight! A special livery of the tactical Luftwaffe squadron 73 in Laage!

The direct profiles with 1/4000 second exposure times have become quite sharp, although the jets here have speeds around 140 knots, 260 km/h.

Die direkten Profile mit 1/4000 Sekunde Belichtungszeiten sind recht scharf geworden, obwohl die Jets hier Geschwindigkeiten um die 140 Knoten, 260 km/h, haben.

After the go-around is he flown away and was never seen again.
