My three lenses: 60mm Macro, 10-24mm and 70-210mm

At the beginning of November I had already held Santa Claus liable and obliged him to bring me a new super lens! After several days and hours of research, I decided on the Tamron 70-210. The continuous light intensity of 4 is sufficient for my purposes of landscape photography, it could be better for plane spotting. But the 2.8 lens had almost twice the weight and twice the price, making the decision relatively easy. After 2 months I can now draw a first conclusion and from now on the pictures that I have taken during this time will also be published piece by piece.

The first thing you notice is the solid workmanship. The weight of 860 grams is in a category that requires an additional holder on the lens. You can see it clearly in the picture. So the weight with the camera is almost exactly in the middle and super easy to bring on any tripod. The first thing you notice about the pictures is the beautiful bokeh and the exceptional quality. The autofocus works as it should, my camera is already a brakeman and cannot keep up with the speed. But after a while of practicing, moving motifs also get on pretty well. Focusing is a world of its own in landscape photos, but is very well mastered by the lens. Normally I focus all the pictures manually to find the right point, but with this lens I can rely more and more on leaving this work to the autofocus.

Tamron lenses always have a sun visor with them, which provides their service as usual. Flares or other annoying light reflections must already be in the picture to appear on the finished picture. With a 95 cm minimum focusing distance, fantastic macros are also possible with the lens, which will immerse the objects and the background in a completely new light and provide eye-opening effects. The price of just under 500 euros is completely appropriate for this lens and will probably be a real success for Tamron, there is usually not so much power for this money. As first examples now photos I took with it, more detailed articles with further pictures will follow.

Anfang November hatte ich den Weihnachtsmann bereits in Haftung genommen und ihn verpflichtet mir eine neue Superlinse zu bringen! Nach etlichen Tagen und Stunden der Recherge habe ich mich dann für das Tamron 70-210 entschieden. Die durchgängige Lichtstärke von 4 ist für meine Zwecke der Landschaftsphotografie ausreichend, für Plane-Spotting könnte es besser sein. Aber das Objektiv mit Lichtstärke 2.8 hätte fast das doppelte Gewicht und den doppelten Preis bedeutet und somit fiel die Entscheidung relativ einfach. Nach 2 Monaten kann ich nun ein erstes Fazit ziehen und von nun an werden auch die Bilder, die ich damit in dieser Zeit geschossen habe, Stück für Stück veröffentlicht.

Als erstes fällt die solide Verarbeitung auf. Das Gewicht ist mit 860 Gramm in einer Kategorie die eine zusätzliche Halterung am Objektiv notwendig macht. Auf dem Bild ist sie gut zu sehen. Damit ist das Gewicht mit der Kamera fast genau in der Mitte und super einfach auf dem Stativ in jede Lage zu bringen. Bei den Bildern fällt als ersten das wunderschöne Bokeh und die ausgergewöhnliche Qualität auf. Der Autofokus arbeitet wie er soll, meine Kamera ist da schon ein Bremser und kann mit der Geschwindigkeit nicht mithalten. Aber nach einer Weile des Übens gelangen auch bewegte Motive recht gut. Die Scharftstellung ist bei Landschaftsphotos eine eigene Welt wird von dem Objektiv aber sehr gut gemeistert. Normalerweise stelle ich alle Aufnahmen manuell scharf um ja den richtigen Punkt zu finden, mit diesem Objektiv kann ich mich aber mehr und mehr darauf verlassen diese Arbeit dem Autofokus zu überlassen.

Bei Tamron Objektiven ist immer eine Sonnenblende mit dabei, diese versieht ihren Dienst wie gewohnt. Flares oder andere störende Lichtreflexe müssen schon extra im Bild drinn sein um dann auf dem fertigen Bild aufzutauchen. Mit 95 cm Naheinstellgrenze sind mit dem Objektiv auch fantastische Makros möglich, die die Objekte und den Hintergrund in ein völlig neues Licht tauchen und für Aha-Effekte sorgen werden. Der Preis von knapp unter 500 Euro ist für dieses Objektiv völlig angebracht und wird wohl ein richtiger Erfolg für Tamron werden, so viel Leistung für dieses Geld gibt es normalerweise nicht. Als erste Beispiele nun Fotos die ich damit gemacht habe, genauere Artikel mit weiteren Bilder werden folgen.

Neuburg can be seen in the foreground, behind it the Donaumoos, the hills with the wind turbines are about 25 km away, and then the Zugspitze is 135 km away.

Im Vordergrund ist Neuburg zu sehen, dahinter das Donaumoos, die Hügel mit den Windrädern sind etwa 25 km entfernt, dahinter dann die Zugspitze in 135 km Entfernung.
