Street Photography - part I
Street photography
Hi all photo lovers!
Street photography is the theme of my photos today. As most people know about photography, street photography is a form of documentary photography.
What is interesting is that you are present in an environment and thus participate in the objects and what you are photographing. You could say that it is the expression of pure photography.
Classic street photography practitioners include Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004), Robert Frank (born 1924), Robert Doisneau (1912-1994), William Egglestone (born 1939), just to name a few. In Sweden we have Christer Strömholm (1918-2002), Anders Petersen (born 1944) and more. During my internship period (which was located in Stockholm) when I attended Photo at University in Gothenburg, I got the opportunity to meet Christer and Anders.
The classmate Albert Wiking (born 1956 in Caracas), living in Lund has done several interesting projects such as the hiking exhibition and the book Eldvattnet. The exhibition toured in twenty-two cities and was seen by over one million visitors. Albert often goes his own way (he often did at school) with his projects and often defines his boundaries. Gatufotografering är temat på mina bilder idag. Som de flesta vet som sysslar med fotografi är gatufotografering en form av dokumentärfotografering.
Det som är intressant är att man är närvarande i en miljö och på så vis delaktig med objekten och det man fotograferar. Man kan säga att det är den rena fotografins uttryckssätt. Klassiska utövare av gatufotografi är bland andra Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004), Robert frank (född 1924), Robert Doisneau (1912-1994), William Egglestone (född 1939) bara för att nämna några. I Sverige har vi Christer Strömholm (1918-2002), Anders Petersen (född 1944) med mera. Under min praktikperiod (som var förlagd till Stockholm), när jag gick på Fotohögskolan i Göteborg fick jag möjligheten att träffa Christer och Anders.
Klasskompisen Albert Wiking (född 1956 i Caracas), bosatt i Lund har gjort flera intressanta projekt som vandringsutställningen och boken Eldvattnet. Utställningen turnerade i tjugotvå städer och sågs av över en miljon besökare. Albert går ofta sin egen väg (det gjorde han ofta på skolan) med sina projekt och tämjde ofta sina gränser.
