MY FIRST ULOG: AN OVERNIGHT GET TOGETHER ON THE BEACH WITH MY HIGH SCHOOL CLASSMATES

Yesterday, when I came back home after my work, my classmate Liezel called me through cell phone, that our High School batch was having an overnight get together on the beach on that day, and it would be held in Sardena Beach Resort in Sulangan, Guiuan, Eastern Samar, approximately more or less 20-21 kilometers away from our hometown. After our conversation, I immediately prepared and packed my belongings for an overnight stay on the beach. At about 4:00 P.M., they picked me up in our house, and we then, travel to Sardena Beach Resort.

After an hour, we arrived on the beach. I hastily gathered my bag and went ahead inside of the resort. The resort is simple, and the cottage is a two-story, and it is made of nipa and bamboo. There is no entrance fee. The cost of the cottage is P 700.00.

As I checked out the resort, I feel so disappointed because it’s small. They have a clean comfort room and a store. But when I go to the beach, I was so speechless. A breath-taking scenery comes across me. The sunset is awesome!

I immediately invited my classmates to have a picture taking of the sunset. The color of the sky reflects on the water. We were thankful and blessed to witness the natural beauty of mother nature. We enjoyed watching the sunset until it disappears.

At 6:00 P.M. we prepare our food for our dinner. While we eat, we reminisce our high school student’s life. High school is the craziest, exciting and happiest moments on a student’s life. High School is a place where puberty begins. It is the time in which the students began to know what the real world is like experiencing puppy love, gaining more friends, knowledge, discoveries, adventures, and more.

After dinner, we continued on our chitchatting about our life, career and etc., and we then have the pinoy’s favorite past time, the video oke. We enjoyed the night and have some fun!

The cold sea breeze of ocean wakes me up. I went to the beach to have a walk. The beach has powdery fine white sand. The water is clean. When I dip my feet into the cold water, it tempted me to swim. So, I hurriedly went to our cottage to change my clothes to swimming attire. I enjoyed myself swimming in the water until my classmates wake up. When they saw me in the water, they join me to swim.

At 8:00 A.M. we decided to go back home. As I scanned all my photos, I notice something, the afternoon and morning view of the beach is quite beautiful and awesome!

How to Get There in Sardena Beach Resort

VIA TACLOBAN CITY – DZR Airport
Tourists can reach Guiuan by air travel via Tacloban City. From the airport, you take a tricycle or jeep going to the terminal of buses and vans directly to Guiuan. Vans cost is P 170.00. The travel time from Tacloban to Guiuan is around 2 hours and 30 minutes. From Guiuan to Sardena resort, you take a tricycle or jeep going to Sardena.
