Exceed expectation and BE YOUR BEST

Hello steemians, my intention with this post is to motivate someone to keep pushing on and be better. Note that the topic didn't say, "Be the best". There is much difference between being the best and being your best. In fact, by trying to be the best, many people have locked up their potentials with their own hands.

The race of life is not about you coming first or second, but you coming out of your best - delivering to your optimum best. You know you can be the best even when you are not in your best form of performance, the very reason why some people settle down for local championship. What a glory-sucking deception!

That you are on top of others in your vocation or locality is not a sign that you are in your peak performance. If only you can lift up your head and look forward, you will discover that the journey is still very far. For instance, a student scoring 75 percent where others are scoring 50, 60 or 65 at the most is usually considered as the best in the class. But the question is, Is that how far he or she can go? My answer is NO! He can certainly do better; I mean score as high as 90, 95 or even more.

Interestingly, the other students scoring 60, 50 or even below 40 percent in the same class can as well go higher, yes, as high as 100 percent - if and when they let out their best effort.

You don't really know how far your job can take you, until it can take the best from you. But one thing is certain, when you give your calling your best, it lifts you from among the rest and puts you among the first. So it is time for you to shift your attention from becoming the best in your course or trade, to giving your dream and assignment your best.

Being your best however, is not a child's play. It is all about commitment, high commitment!.

No one exceeds expectations with little or shallow commitment. Treating your assignment with levity is nothing but signing up for poverty. You can check out the list of the world's most successful people and I am so certain you will not find anyone who is half-hearted committed. Giving their best is a major reason why they are among the first in the world.

Life does not pay anyone more than he is willing to give out from the treasure house of his heart. When you give your all to your dream, when you give your vocation or calling your best, what you get in return is Exceeding Success.

Truth is, we all have the capacity to be ranked among the world's most successful people. But it won't become a reality until we begin to set for ourselves higher expectations from time to time and do everything possible to even exceed them.

You have what it takes within you to become the David Yonggi Cho, Barrack Obama, Rafel Nadal and Tiger Woods of your profession, if only you will give it a practical and determined approach. You can indeed become an international musician, a world-class star, an household name, an international brand, a global phenomenon whether in sport, entertainment, science, fashion or any other field if you can give your calling your best, your very best in all things.
