Obscure 70's prog rock from Norway - Junpiher Greene (english lyrics)
Formed in Oslo in 1966, Junipher Greene was Norway's first blues band, but later developed into prog rock.
The band was started at Sandaker school by Geir Bøhren, Øyvind Vilbo, Bent Åserud and Bjørn Sønstevold.
Many of the texts were written by the well known radio show host Harald Are Lund under the the pseudonym "clever duck" (Lure And = Are Lund). He was also the producer of the first album - Friendship. The cover of the album was painted by artist Odd Nerdrum. Junipher Greene was also regularly playing at the famous "Club 7" in Oslo - the Norwegian Studio 54.
Pretty fresh sound coming out of Norway in 1971, still a super cool summer track.

Absolutely! I agree. Some of the other tracks are more "progressive and pshycedelic" but yeah definitely somewhere in that ballpark.
