RE: The meaning of the Lord's dinner
@doumerromero The sacrament is a testimony. Through her I testify that Jesus has departed His body and shed His blood for me; and in this way I proclaim the death of Christ. This should be done in memory of Him. When I break the bread I remember how His body was broken by me. When I drink from the cup I remember the outpouring of His blood for my sake for the forgiveness of sins. At the same time, I testify that I have also received that gift, or that grace. I do not commemorate the sacrament to receive forgiveness of my sins, but because I have already received forgiveness for them.
