This was a much anticipated holiday break for my entire family this year. Last year was so rough that we felt we missed Christmas and that it didn't count. Well we made up for that this 2017!

I very much planned for an eventful Christmas season and took 3 days off AFTER Christmas, giving me at total of 6 days off in a row to get as much fun and deserved relaxation in.

Christmas eve started the holiday off much better than anticipated, It started SNOWING. While this may not be a big deal for a lot of people, the last "White Christmas" we had in our area was in 2008 and it was WELCOME. It wasn't much snow, but it was enough. So Christmas morning, once presents and breakfast was taken care of my oldest son and I went to make the first snowman of the season!

We went down to my moms house for dinner and gifts

Before we had dinner I spent some good quality time with my sister, and they had EVEN MORE SNOW THERE so we built a BIGGER snowman, the second of the day.

We stayed the night at our families house that night, because the next day we had to drive even further to fulfill my sons biggest dream!

THE POLAR EXPRESS!

The trip came complete with hot cocoa, cookies, sing alongs, book reading of "The polar express", and santa high fives.

After wish was fulfilled we trekked back to our families house for a short break, then back to our house. It was a total of about 5 hours of driving and pretty exhausting, but to have happy kids it was well worth it.

Throughout the holiday we had plenty of food and gifts, and those were fun, but I wanted to focus my post on the memories we made as these will not be forgotten. Hope you all made some memories as well.
