Losing the human connection on steemit
Steemit is great. I have finally learned how to use the site to write, blog, post photos and make friends with bots.
What I miss dearly is the human connection, like the friends I had over at Wikinut, knoji, bubblews, blogjob and a few others. The friends I made are now close ones and we keep in touch through facebook.
Steemit, I am sure, was started with the idea of paying people for what they do already in sites like reddit and fb but the run after only the money is what I observed here. I miss real comments which add meaning to a post.
I am glad though that there are services like @curie and @steemcleaners to give justice to users. I hope people work here with seriousness and not with an aim to just make money. Spam is what brought down some of the sites I mentioned above.
Stay blessed
Hi, very nicely written.
Yes, when we compare this with facebook or other social sites, you will feel there is not close attachment with followers here. But, I think over a time when people start liking our content, we can surely have more friends in the form of followers. Have a great day :)
Thanks
I completely agree with your statements. I deactivated my FB account over a month ago because of all of the ads and repetitive posts, and a friend introduced me to Steemit. FB makes it easy to activate your account by just logging back in so I log in when I want to see what's up again. I have enjoyed learning the same things that you have on Steemit and I am excited for the organization. I also learned that by upvoting and commenting in increases your credibility with Steemit... so I hope everyone participates, reads, and revels in the wonderful intentions of Steemit.
Thank you so much. Valuable comments such as yours make steemit worthwhile
You failed to mention @cheetah for those that plagiarize
I left out quite a few. I am not yet familiar with many
