Multiple accounts? Personal / anon? Are these allowed?
I must first apologise. I'm a new user here so don't know the ins & outs too well yet but I'm trying my hardest to learn!
I was just wondering whether it is allowable to open multiple accounts? I tried doing some research but didn't manage to find anything with a definitive answer. Maybe I missed something?
I think we can all understand that there are different topics we'd like to share, and a lot of them don't gel. I would personally love the ability to have different channels or pages to post other projects besides this one - which I've taken on as a personal one. I would like to have an account purely focused on one particular project of writing. It would just not fit anything on this page, plus I would want it to be anonymous. We have the ability to make multiple YouTube channels and different Facebook pages, so why not here?
To make up for how dull and entry-level this post was here's a photo of the 100% vegan ice cream I got earlier from a cool parlour in central London. Salt caramel, mint choc and cookies & cream flavours - with sprinkles!
The only things I see being potential issues is that we are gifted a small amount of Steem when we open our accounts so by opening multiple it may be seen as taking more than we should be given and that you could up-vote your posts from the other accounts. However, there could quite easily be checks put in place for this. You could declare that you have multiple accounts and then have them blocked from up-voting each other. There could be a system devised whereby if there was suspected constant reciprocal up-voting and someone didn't come clean then they would be kicked off the platform.
I'm not sure, I just really have a great idea for interesting content but it just wouldn't fit on this account at all. So, I'm just getting a bit frustrated that we have to be forced into a box from the start.

I've always felt the whole slurry of creativity makes the person, you should feel comfortable to share you and let the tags sort the rest. Just how I run my ship, I think your free to open multiple accounts, but I can't see any inherent value in spreading yourself thin. Unless your other blog is about BBQing meat
That's why my other account needs to be anon - I can't let anyone know my dirty little BBQ-sauce-covered secret. Lol! I agree and disagree. By filtering my posts myself, I'm almost second-guessing what my followers want to see, and may effectively be holding back content from them that they'd love to see. But on the other hand, if you have a very specific and unique idea for a project, and don't want your name and personal identity attached to it, then there is reason to separate that entirely also. Hmm! I'll see what the responses are and try doing some more rooting around.
