They say, there are two types of people in the world. One type, who are more logical and analytical in their way of thinking and see the world objectively. These people belong to the so-called left-brained category.

Then there is the other type. People who are creative and artistic and they have a more open view of the world and its possibilities. These people belong to the so-called right-brained category.

I am not sure if humans can be divided into distinct categories like that but I certainly agree that one of these sides can be more dominant in an individual and that dictates how they view life and the world.

I consider myself a creative person, though that is better judged by others than me. And even though people think that it is great to be able to create things and revel in the art of things, it can be quite difficult. Many times, our own brains start working against us.

The Curse

If you have an artist, designer, writer or anyone of the other creatives as a friend, you must be familiar with them telling you how their work could be even better and that they are never satisfied with it even if you think that it is excellent. If you have such friends, you would know how worked up they can get about it.

This is the curse of a creative mind. Creative people are never quite satisfied with their finished work. They are always looking at areas for improvement and feel like they could have made it better. I too feel that way every single day!

Although it creates an unnecessary burden at times, it can also be a good thing. It could keep pushing a creative person to be better and better. Of course, perfection can't be achieved but one could get as close as humanly possible.

In any case, it is beautiful to see a creative mind at work. They literally create something out of nothing and that is one of the most wonderful things you can experience as a human being.
