Can Pandora please steal this idea? Decentralized Open-Source Music!

Pandora is already great. In fact I am listening to The Roots Radio as I write this. But imagine an extra feature which gives Pandora users the ability to collectively compose music through a voting process. Songs start out very basic, then increase in complexity as the community votes for which new version or remix they feel is best. Each vote is important because only the most popular version of a song will survive. After a certain number of rounds of voting, the song is complete and all profits (if one is possible) are given to charity. If the idea actually got popular, artist could pay to submit entries for public consideration.
