Cryptocurrencies and the Dark Web
It is no longer a secret that the darkweb is one of the biggest places where cryptocurrency transaction is used to avail the services. It is unfortunate to know that a lot of illegal activities like Child Porn, fake passports, hacking of social media accounts and websites, Gun sale, and even killing are carried out there with the backing of Bitcoins. The peculiarity the dark websites can brag about is the perfect anonymity they can offer . No-one including government can trace you. You are free to use the web in the way you want.
I found a number of hidden websites which indeed are very useful for us. They provide abundance of datas that our normal websites can never provide. Yet, the fact that the terror groups use these places as their safe havens is something to fear. One thing I'm sure about is no one can destroy cryptocurrencies as long as there is high demand and transaction rate. But we have to be aware of traps that await us in various shapes out here. It is possible to end up in jail and lose everything if you are not so brilliant while handling dark web. I Hope the steemians use the money they earn from here in a good way.

It is sad that such websites exist. Maybe, thats why govts all over want to bring about regulations and restrictions
That's a naive thing if Govt thinks so. Take the case of real economy where there are fiat currency transactions taking place. As if illegal things are not happening in the real world! Everything which involves human beings will have a shady side to it. Will the government shut down all financial transactions, saying that there is illegal stuff happening? Oh I forgot! Our government did that. Already proved how shitty is our government when it comes to policymaking.
But the point I want to make here is that anything which involves human beings is like a sword with a double sharp edge. You can use internet, money and cryptocurrency etc for good or bad. The choice is yours. But when it comes to illegal activities, I think blockchain technology will have to be mature enough in coming days. Do I have an answer? No. But will I support shutting down the entire activities in internet? No.
