If the fork happens.... bitcoin is done
yeah bro eth will take over
Why would the fork change so much?
the value and perception of bitcoin being seen as "rare" is based on its 21 million units that will ever be available, if the fork happens, the blockshain splits into TWO different pieces, which then makes there 42 million bitcoin.
the split will happen because the miners want control of the network and they think THEY should control bitcoin and how its run, this division is causing division in the community and the whole thing will fall to the ground soon
ETH forked and both did very well afterwards.
but ETH's big factor isnt that it only has 21 million coins, bitcoin is seen as a "valuable" storage of wealth because of its finite supply, if there are then 42 million bitcoin on 2 competing block chain its shows a massive amount of instability in the project, because the fork will happen because of miners and now the bitcoin project themselves , it will take months for the market to recover
Majority will pick. The one with the most miners and resources behind it will win. Litecoin had no problems adding it in... Coins fork and recover all the time now.
