Dinosaurs would disappear without upheaval

Dinosaurs had problems with its population even before the asteroid hit Earth. These are the results of a new study by scientists from the University of Reading, the BBC reported. According to scientists, the reason was "own success" of dinosaurs as a species.
Scientists have tracked their development and have found that dinosaurs migrated from hard roots in South America and have covered the entire planet. There were hundreds of different species, such as the general population has been so great that there was not enough room for them, scientists say.
"They appear percussion and quickly reach all parts of the Earth," said Chris Venditi, co-author of the study. He added that dinosaurs benefited from the extinction of most species before them. This enabled them to take advantage of the space and resources, as there was less competition for food.

"They fill the earth and as any kind was strictly dedicated to the local environment were unable to move and create new species," said Chiara O'Donovan, co-author of the study. Ultimately, only the flying dinosaurs could not adapt in birds, which occurs after the cataclysm of the asteroid.

Of course, not all scientists agree with this theory. According to David March at the University of Portsmouth, dinosaurs evolved into smaller-sized species and this is a process that has continued to impact the asteroid.
