How to Achieve Your Goals When You Reach Your Goal
Your first step in creating a bigger Reach to Your Goal is to find out what exactly your goal is. What are you trying to accomplish? Is it to lose weight, gain weight, get healthy, stop smoking, lose a certain amount of weight, etc? Once you know what your goal is, you will need to find the right tool to help you reach it.
You can use dumbbells or a basketball hoop. This is an example of smart goal setting. You do not go into the gym and start lifting weights and immediately run up to the basketball hoop and begin to dunk the ball. Instead, you set smaller goals for yourself like losing ten pounds or doing fifty sit-ups before a certain date.
Setting smaller goals is another great example of smart goal setting. It may be that you want to lose ten pounds, get ready for a new job, stop drinking alcohol, etc. If these are not specific enough, write them down on paper. Thereafter, find the smallest goal that you can accomplish for each of the five smaller goals. This is a smart way to keep your focus on your goals.
In addition to using a smart goal setting tool like a calendar or a dumbbells or basketball hoop, you must have the determination to reach these smaller goals. Set yourself the goal and make sure that you are going in the right direction. If you set yourself a goal that is too hard to achieve, you will soon give up. Therefore, you must be in the right track.
For example, when it comes to reaching your college savings goal, do not get discouraged if you fail. Determine why you failed and work on the right track to get to your college savings goal. Do not give up! This is your responsibility.
There are certain times throughout the year when goals become harder to achieve. If you do not set goals during the summertime, for instance, you will not have any motivation to work on your five goals for the rest of the year. Therefore, the best time to start a new goal is in January or February. If you are going to have goals, write them on paper so that you will remember them. However, if you get too much "mood" in your head during the summer months, you will forget what you wrote down and it will not be the motivation that you need to continue with your goals.
Make your goal as specific as possible. If you want to buy a car for the next five years, write down your goal so that you can keep to the promise. Be specific. Write down your five-year plan on a sheet of paper. Then break it down into smaller goals. By doing this, you will not lose track of your five-year plan and you will also have the motivation you need to keep to your plan throughout the year.
When you reach to your goal, make sure that it is worth reaching. Sometimes you might reach a goal because you are feeling like you can reach for something bigger. Be sure that you are not letting yourself get discouraged and that you are still working towards the ultimate goal of reaching your five-year goal. Stay consistent and hard-working, and you will reach your goals one step at a time.
Keep yourself motivated by setting goals that are reachable. Setting goals that are reachable is different than making them reachable. You need to think about what is important to you. Are there things that are very important to you that you could give up in order to reach your ultimate goal? Make sure that you know exactly what it is that you want. Even if it is just a dream, if you know exactly what it is that you want, then you can move towards it.
Once you know what it is that you want, then write it down on paper. Keep a positive attitude when you set a goal for yourself. If you keep a negative attitude, then you are not going to reach your goal no matter how hard you try. It is important that you are positive and you will be able to reach your goal when you have the determination and the will to do it.
In addition to keeping a positive attitude, write down your goals in a way that you can easily read them. This will allow you to remember them and they will stay with you. When you remember your goals, you will be motivated to achieve them. Take a notebook with you whenever you are working out or doing anything that will get you moving. That way, you will be able to keep track of your goals and know exactly what you need to do in order to reach your goals.
