Sono tanti i centri storici Italiani dichiarati Patrimonio dell’Umanità dall’UNESCO , come Roma, Verona, Ferrara, Firenze , Venezia…
Nel 1995 anche la bellissima città di Napoli è stata inserita nella lista UNESCO.
La città di Napoli è una delle più antiche d’Europa , risale infatti alle IX secolo A.C. la sua fondazione, e nel suo tessuto urbano sono conservati i segni stratificati di questa storia millenaria.
La sua storia si è confrontata con diverse culture, da quella Greca a quella Romana e Bizantina e Normanna e le testimonianze si queste diverse culture sono delle vere e proprie eccellenze architettoniche.

Le prestigiose costruzioni del Palazzo Reale, Caste Nuovo, Piazza Plebiscito e il Convento di Santa Chiara e le ricche abitazioni nobiliari testimonianza del periodo Borbonico, che fece di Napoli una delle capitali più importanti d’Europa, hanno portato l’UNESCO a riconoscere e dichiarare l’importanza del suo centro storico.

Questa è la motivazione dell’UNESCO con la quale è stato inserito nella prestigiosa lista il Centro storico di Napoli.

There are many Italian historic centers declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, such as Rome, Verona, Ferrara, Florence, Venice ...
In 1995 the beautiful city of Naples was also included in the UNESCO list.

The city of Naples is one of the oldest in Europe, dating back to the 9th century BC. its foundation, and the stratified signs of this millenary history are preserved in its urban fabric.
Its history has been confronted with different cultures, from the Greek to the Roman and Byzantine and Norman ones and the testimonies of these different cultures are real architectural excellence.

The prestigious buildings of the Royal Palace, Castel Nuovo, Piazza Plebiscito and the Convent of Santa Chiara and the rich noble houses testifying to the Bourbon period, which made Naples one of the most important capitals in Europe, have led UNESCO to recognize and declare the importance of its historic center.
This is the UNESCO motivation with which the historic center of Naples was included in the prestigious list.

I show you some pictures of this splendid city that I was able to visit a short time ago.
Still a UNESCO site visited and still a certainty of travel full of beautiful surprises.
Italy is always a treasure chest that never ceases to give us pleasant surprises.
