Do We Create Our Future Or Is It Already Planned Out?
I'm studying philosophy as part of my degree so it is kinda in my nature to philosophise about ANYTHING! I could even philosophise about a mere crumb on the carpet.
Anyway today's life question.
Is our existence fated?
Here's a view point of mine. I believe in vibrations and one universal energy. I also believe that we create the vibrations in this energy field, individual and as a whole entity. In this sense I believe that we design our futures by creating vibrations.
What are your thoughts?
Is life a journey to a SET destination? Are we destined for something?
Or do we shape our life journey's through our thoughts and actions?
Our life is exercise of Total Idea of human exsistence and it's continuous development throughout history of mankind. It's called collective conciousness. We inherit all what our ancestors experienced. Here is an example: Bears. Few thousand years B.C there were archaeological foundings of bear wooden figures used as toys for kids. What do we have now? Teddy Bears. Our collective conciousness only crystalizes more but stays the same. So, by learning from our past we can easily predict our future. Look at WW1 and WW2, there will no longer be that kinds of wars but an economic wars, on even a larger scale. Corps destroying corps et cetera. Where is individual in this story? He is a part of machine and can be replaced, so our life is purely determined on choices we make through our life. We cannot change the present but we can influence the future and leave heritage of goodness or evil to next generations. Personally. It's a game of luck and capability of grabbing the right moment.
Yes...yes...interesting perspective. As a concensus through do we shape our futures and can that be fated do you think ?

You can sit on the couch all day and you will never progress further than the Refrigerator. Or you can try and make something of your life by investing both time and money.

I believe in one God in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I believe God created us in His image and to have wonderful fellowship with Him. I believe He has a perfect will and plan for our lives. Yet He has given us the free will to choose whether we follow his plan or not.
So yes, we do shape our life's journey through our thoughts and actions.
Whether it's god or a universal energy....it is something that is shaped. I agree!
We create our future of cause, but sometimes im forced to wonder if its not all pre-destined. There are occassions where the outcome seems inevitable despite our all our efforts.
Also one universe energy, vibrations? Hehe dont let some scientists hear you!
But on a more serious note,
If the present were a poont on a road, then the future would be an infinite amountnof turns we could make, and the one we select, becomes our set destination.
At the end, it becomes not a question of one or the other(free to choose or predestinstion) but one and the other.
We have the choice to choose where we want to go, and that choice sets our destiny as the decision cant be over turned.
Thats my view though
For some reason I didn't see the second part of your post at first.........but I think I get what your saying. If we see where we are heading then we can change course. Almost like take fate or make a new road.
Haha, some scientists do acknowledge things that are not proven....yet. There is so much more that we do not know as a human race. Time will tell I suppose :-)

Fascinating how so many people have the audacity to proclaim 'what they think life is' based on 'what they think' in self interest as fabricated beliefs, when in fact they have not even considered the big picture. I don't know if any of you on here are hip-hop fans, but the rapper Logic has in interesting skit off of his last album that doesn't necessarily fit into this topic, but is pretty darn close. It's a conversation between someone who has just died and "god" in which god tells the man that he is everyone and everyone else is him, each time you die, you reincarnate into another person and learn the lessons through them and it's a never ending cycle of living different lives and experiences.

I do think people can reincarnate through different energies. Yes definately another thing to think about!
No we are just AI living in someone's creation. JK, I actually have the same view where all is one and one is all in a way everything being God. Though I can't say it to be a believe but rather a theory I am feeling drawn to since it can't be proven yet (seems close to it though with current developments in science!).
Science is getting closer to "invisible energies...gods, spirits, universal stuff" all the time. Regardless of belief there is so much more out there!
Life is just like a train moving from a station to another station until it breaks down completely.
