HORSEFEATHER COCKTAIL
This great Horsefeather Cocktail is anything but difficult to make with only 4 fixings — your decision of bourbon, ginger lager, sharp flavoring and a press of lime. Fundamentally, a reviving whisky turn on a Moscow donkey.
Half a month back when I posted an anecdote about making horsefeather mixed drinks on Instagram, my inbox lit up with messages asking a similar inquiry — "What on earth is a horsefeather?!"
I generally overlook that this mixed drink, which is universal around Kansas City and evidently started in Lawrence, Kansas, is lesser-known around whatever is left of the world. You folks, it is one of my faves! What's more, — fun truth — it's additionally the main mixed drink that Barclay at any point made me when we initially began dating. (I knew he would have been a manager.) ;)
A horsefeather is essentially only a bourbon form of a Moscow donkey, settled on with your decision of bourbon (we commonly utilize whiskey), ginger brew (the spicier, the better), a crush of lime (or lemon), and (not at all like a donkey) a couple of liberal shakes of sharp flavoring. Furthermore, it is scrumptious. We generally keep each of the four of those fixings close by in our kitchen, so it is the ideal off the cuff mixed drink for a party time or a supper party. What's more, it's dependably a hit!
Here's the way we make one…
Start by social affair your fixings:
bourbon (any sort works, yet we commonly utilize whiskey or KC bourbon)
ginger brew (the spicier the better, as I would see it)
Angostura sharp flavoring
citrus (lemon or lime cuts)
Add a cluster of ice to a highball glass, or extremely, any sort of glass. (Barclay used to drink from an accumulation of reused spaghetti sauce jostles as a lone ranger, so we generally serve our own in bricklayer containers for old circumstances' purpose.) ;) Then pour in the greater part of the fixings, mix to join…
… and in one moment or two, this invigorating mixed drink will be prepared to serve.
Fixings:
ice
2 ounces bourbon
4 ounces ginger lager
4 dashes Angostura sharp flavoring
lemon or lime wedge
Headings:
Fill a highball glass (or artisan bump) with ice. Include bourbon, ginger brew, sharp flavoring, and a press of lime or lemon, and mix to join.
Serve quickly, embellished with additional lemon or lime.
