RE: Crypto Academy Week 13 - Homework Post for Professor @sapwood : Bandwidth & Energy (Tron)
Thank you for attending the lecture in Steemit-Crypto-Academy- Season 2 & doing the homework task-5.
Only Trigger Smart Contract type is categorized as Smart-Contract-Operated Transfer, while the rest are in “Ordinary Transfer” category. We know, the difference between the two categories is that the Ordinary Transfer only consumes Bandwidth while the Smart-Contract-Operated Transfer consumes both Bandwidth and Energy.
Excellent.
The table showed us that to transact an amount of 1 USDT, JustSwab consumed more Bandwidth that JustLend did. But on the Energy matter, it was the opposite: JustLend consumed much more Energy than what JustSwab did.
More or less the bandwidth consumption in all smart contract are same(the gap is very narrow), but the Energy consumption significantly vary from one to the other and it also depends on the type of function.
Evidently a Borrow function consumes more energy than Mint, Transfer, Swap function.
In other words, we can say to execute a borrow contract in VM it takes more time.
Suggestions/Feedback
- The author has produced real transactions to demonstrate the consumption of Bandwidth & Energy. He has included all the relevant screenshots required for this task.
- The author is quite organized in presenting this task, in line with the requirement and he has inluced all the details, steps involved to demonstrate it.
Thank you.
Homework Task -5 accomplished.
