Tech Blog #90 | Best of Honor 10n Series - Honor 80 Pro

in Steem Sri Lankalast year
So far, I reviewed two devices of Honor 10n series. From those devices, I think Honor 70 Pro would be a good choice. Though it has a Mediatek Processor, it has a good camera system and overall balance in performance. Let's how Honor 80 Pro could challenge it.

The Honor 80 Pro was announced in November 2022 and became available for purchase from December 2022. It features a slim and sleek design, with a weight of 188 g. The device is crafted with attention to detail and feels comfortable to hold.

One of the standout features of the Honor 80 Pro is its 6.78-inch OLED display. With a resolution of 1.5K, the screen delivers crisp and vibrant visuals. It supports 1 billion colors and features a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits, ensuring an immersive and enjoyable viewing experience.

Running on the Android 12 operating system with MagicOS 7, the Honor 80 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The octa-core processor and Adreno 730 GPU handle graphics processing, providing smooth and fluid performance for demanding tasks such as gaming and editing. The Honor 80 Pro offers three memory configurations: 256GB of internal storage paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, or 512GB of internal storage with 12GB of RAM. This ample storage capacity allows users to store a significant amount of files, apps, and multimedia content without the need for external storage.

The camera system of the Honor 80 Pro is impressive, with a triple-camera setup on the rear. It includes a 160MP wide lens with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide lens with a 122˚ field of view, and a 2MP depth sensor. The ultrawide camera can also capture macro images. The Camera system can record videos in resolutions up to 4K at 30fps, with gyro-EIS ensuring stable footage. On the front, there is a dual-camera setup featuring a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor, perfect for capturing high-quality selfies and group selfies.

The device is equipped with a 4800mAh non-removable Li-Po battery, providing ample power easily for a full day of usage. It supports 66W wired charging, allowing for fast charging times. The advertised 3-50% charge in just 15 minutes is impressive and guarantees that users spend less time attached to a charging cable. The Honor 80 Pro also supports 5W reverse wired charging, allowing you to charge your audio devices using your phone as a power source.

As for pricing, the Honor 80 Pro is priced at $470 right now, positioning it as a mid-range smartphone with high-end features. The competitive pricing makes it an attractive option for users seeking a device that doesn't break the bank, the Honor 80 Pro is definitely worth considering.
