Higher MegaPixel processing image sensors have been used on smartphones since a few years. It all started with 108 MP sensors. But these sensors were used in the main camera. But actually, if it can be used in telephoto camera, the full use of those pixels can be taken. And Honor Magic 6 Pro did it. So with that, let's talk about the newly released Honor Magic 6 series.

The Honour Magic6 and Magic6 Pro have a sleek, modern design with high-quality materials. The thickness is 8.9 mm, and the weight ranges between 225 and 229 g depending on the variant (glass back or silicone polymer back). The phones have a glass front and back (or eco leather), indicating a sophisticated design. They feature dual SIM support (Nano-SIM) and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance up to 1.5m for 30 minutes, emphasising durability.

Both phones come with a stunning 6.8-inch curved LTPO OLED display. The resolution is 1.2K, providing sharp visuals with a variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz, which saves battery life while the smartphone is idle. The display supports HDR and has impressive brightness levels, reaching up to 5000 nits peak brightness. It has Jurhino glass protection for durability.

The Honor Magic6 series is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is based on 4nm architecture and includes an octa-core CPU and Adreno 750 GPU. The phones have a variety of RAM and storage configurations, including 256GB with 12GB RAM, 512GB with 16GB RAM, and a high-end variant with 1TB storage and 16GB RAM.

The camera setup is a standout feature of these devices. The Magic6 Pro has a triple-camera system, which includes a 50 MP wide lens with variable aperture (f/1.4 and f/2.0), a 180 MP periscope telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom, and a 50 MP ultrawide lens. The Magic6 features a 50 MP main camera, a 32 MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom, and a 50 MP ultrawide lens. Both phones support advanced video recording, including 4K at various frame rates and 10-bit video.

The Magic6 comes with a 5,450mAh battery that supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. On the other hand, the Magic6 Pro has a larger 5,600mAh battery and faster charging speeds, with 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging. Both models support 5W reverse wired charging and reverse wireless charging.

Both phones run Honor's MagicOS 8.0, which is based on Android 14. They include advanced features such as satellite connectivity in China, IR blasters for controlling home appliances, and IP68 dust and water resistance. Also, the smartphone consists of an Ultra-wide-area intelligent cooling system for efficient heat dissipation, which can keep the smartphone cool in prolonged gaming sessions
