A few days ago, I wrote about the movie, "Murder On The Orient Express". It's based on a book series.. At the end of the movie, it gives a hint about where the next movie takes place, "There's been a murder.. on the bloody Nile. " SRC

"Death on the Nile" is the sequel to the movie "Murder on the Orient Express". Just like in the last movie, this also follows Hercule Poirot, a skillful private investigator. And this time, the murder takes place on a ship. And it's not only one Dead Body..

Talking About The Story..

At first, the movie shows why Hercule Poirot is keeping his beard like that. As we saw in the 1st movie, his wife has passed away. Hercule Poirot was a soldier. He gets injured on the battlefield but his fiancé at that time didn't lose affection for him. Hercule Poirot is there because of her.

In the first movie, right after Hercule Poirot got off of the train, a security officer comes and says that there's been a murder on the Nile. But the thing is, in the second movie, Hercule Poirot spends a lot of time in Egypt before the murder happens. And Hercule Poirot is there on the ship when the murder takes place. So there's a contradiction there. That's the only thing that bothered me in this movie.

In this story, a love triangle is going on. Linnet and Jacqueline were best friends and Linnet has money from her ancestors and she's investing too. Jacqueline was in a relationship with Simon Doyle and he was unemployed. Jacqueline requested Linnet to give Simon Doyle a job and things ended up Simon Doyle being Linnet's husband. So, the friendship between Linnet and Jacqueline ended like that.

But Jacqueline has been following Linnet wherever she goes. She's on the ship too. Linnet is so upset about it but she can't do about it is nothing. Lover's quarrel continues on the ship. And it's Linnet, the 1st victim. So, another murder case opens up for Hercule Poirot.

Talking About My Experience..

The biggest problem I had is the disconnection between the two movies. If someone cares about that kinda detail, it's missing here. Also, it takes a lot of time to take place the main incident which is the death of Linnet. That was an issue in the 1st movie too. It can be ignored because it can be the style of the storyteller.

As a whole, I enjoyed the movie. All the old things and music.. it's great. The story is enjoyable.

Talking About Ratings..

All the ratings are above average. There's a good score in IMDB and Rottentomatoes. That suggests common audience and reviewers like the movie. Also, it has a Box Office of 130+$ Million. So it should be good. And it's good.. This movie is available online. So if you enjoyed the 1st movie, this one won't let you down..
