people have different mindsets. they have made it using their past experiences. when two people get into a relationship, those mindsets start to collide. then they have to rearrange their mindsets to have a balanced relationship. if they can't do that, that relationship will fall apart.

this scenario can be seen in the new movie " somebody I used to know". this movie was released a few days ago on amazon prime video. I watch the trailer on youtube and I thought it was fantastic. so I watched it.

Talking about the Story..

Ally is the showrunner of the TV Show "Dessert Island". Seems like she has been busy with life for years with this TV Show and she had lost her social life. Since the producing team has decided to discontinue the show, she planned to visit Mom who lives in Leavenworth, Washington. But the thing is, the way she left things at Leavenworth was not that great.

I mean, she hadn't done anything wrong or a crime.. but she had some unfinished business with a boy whose name is Sean. After Ally reaches mom's house, she went to the pub where she accidentally meets Sean again.. Later you can find out that it's not all that accidental..

Their conversations started lightly.. and they got comfortable and the night ended with a kiss to Sean from Ally which was unexpected for Sean. It's because of how things ended between them.

Ally and Sean had been together for years. Ally got the opportunity to work for a TV channel but Sean didn't like the idea of doing those stuff as his wife. And Ally chose work over his boyfriend and broke up with her to move to the city. And now, it's the first time in years that they meet each other.

And the timing of this meeting is superb. Seems like Sean and his new fiancee Cassidy are going to get married sooner. Sooner means.. in a few days. Cassidy is a member of a rock band from Seatle. And it seems like Ally's return to Leavenworth is going to affect many things..

So what will happen? Who will marry Sean? It's up to you to find out.

My Experience

I enjoyed the story. There are a few peak points in this story and the hype there was maintained really well. There's a good flow to the story. Some elements were added to spice up the story and I don't think that would entertain everyone.

Ratings

As you can see, ratings ain't that great. They are average. I mean, most romance stories won't get a good welcome from ratings. But I think this movie deserves a better rating than this..
