Entertainment Blog #105 | M3GAN [2023] - The New Lady Chucky

Dolls are part and parcel of our childhood. Dolls also play a big role in the horror movie segment. There are popular movie series such as Chucky and Annabelle. And the newest movie to the bucket is " M3GAN".

"M3GAN".. usually spelled as Megan.. M3GAN stands for "Model 3 Generative Android ". The movie was released on 6th January this year as one of the first new movies into theatres in the new year. It is confirmed that there will be a sequel of this movie which is named, M3GAN 2.0

Talking about the Movie..

Cady is a young girl who lost both her mother and father at a car crash. And it's Gemma, her aunty is going to become her temporary custody. Talking about Gemma is a roboticist who works at Funki, a high-tech toy company.

There, Gemma has been developing a robotic doll that is in the size of a child around 8 years. But her project was rejected by the boss. So she quit the project. In the interim, Cady joins her life. She's a small child. And now she's alone in this world.

The thing is Gemma wasn't that good with Cady's mother. So she's not that good with Cady. But she feels her and she wants to make Cady feels happy. Cady loves dolls. So Gemma brought the doll she developed. And she finished developing it and gave to Cady.

Since she was in a hurry to complete the task, seems like Gemma missed placing some security algorithms. It doesn't affect the regular routine but this might lead to compromising the behavior of the doll. Since the doll, M3gan is going to be with Cady, it was instructed to protect Cady.

At first, it was OK but then she started to gather data and decide whether someone is a threat to Cady or not.. What will M3gan do for the people who are found as a threat? It's up to you to find out..

My Experience..

As in Chucky movies, in this movie too, filmmakers try to blend more humor into the plot which I personally don't like that method. Other than that, I liked the movie. The doll looks kinda creepy... actually it looks sassy for a doll. but don't mind that. I was surprised to hear that M3gan was played by a Child Actress. That was really cool. I thought it was a 3D model.

Ratings..

Even though this movie contains an evil doll, it has a different approach to the story. It's a different story. So there's a uniqueness. And the storyline is also quite good. That's why this movie is highly rated in many platforms..
